We brought you news earlier of Daire Feeley (iTap) topping the A1 rankings in Ireland at present, but of late he has taken time out from the Irish scene to race harder events against European opposition in Belgium.

Feeley and team mate David Brody drafted in Lucan CRC man Conn McDunphy to enter the five-stage Ronde van oost Vlaanderen as a three-man team.

Another Irish rider, Gary Donaldson, was also in the race and has been competing in Belgium this year.

There's a nice interview in here with Feeley close to the start of the clip. And you can also pick him out in some of the breakaways riding hard.

The commentary is not in English but that doesn't mean this is not worth a look.

It offers an interesting insight into the sort of racing Irish club riders can gain entry to if they travel to places like Belgium.

And the film also shows the scale of the racing and race organisation and the terrain, with plenty of cobbles thrown in to the mix.

More later.
