Glen Gregory Koiv, an Estonia rider clearly in great form, has won the opening stage of the Quanta Capital Junior Tour of Ireland
Estonian rider Glen Gregory Koiv has taken the opening stage, and the first yellow jersey, of the Quanta Capital Junior Tour of Ireland after a short and sharp opening stage into Barefield in the sunshine of Co Clare this evening, Tuesday.
Koiv, who was 3rd in the junior road race at the recent Estonian Championships, came off the wheel of his Team Rauland team mate, Gabriel Jakobsen, to claim victory.
He got the verdict, in a mass bunch sprint from British rider Fraser Gemmell (Spokes–Oscar Onley Development), with Jakobsen holding on for 3rd place.
