Daire Feeley has added to his growing list of wins with victory today at the main event in Rás Cill Mocheallog.

The All human-VeloRevolution man got clear in a breakaway and then pressed on from that move with with Mitchell McLaughlin (Swift Carbon Pro Cycling) for company.

In the closing stages Feeley managed to shake off McLaughlin and take a solo victory. Former junior national champion Tom Moriarty (Tralee Manor West) came through for 3rd place in the Kilmallock CC promotion.

The winning move comprised of seven riders, with Feeley,
Moriarty and McLaughlin all present. They were with Diarmuid O’Brien (Collins
Cycle Centre), Dermot Radford Club Rothaíochta na Sionainne, Aidan Connell (Dungarvan
CC) and Conor Kissane (Killarney CC).

With four laps of a 25km course to complete, the
breakaway initially pulled out a very decent gap before Feeley took off, with McLaughlin.

They made their move before the race had even reached its
halfway point and once it became clear they would be caught, the racing in the
group behind them became more tactical. That resulted Feeley’s and McLaughlin’s
lead shooting out to well over five minutes and by the finish another couple of
minutes had been added.
