Ciaran Maguire turns it on to win from quality group at Carn Classic

Ciaran Maguire (Dan Morrissey-Pissei) has claimed victory at the Carn Classic, getting the better of a high quality group at the end of the main event in Maghera in Co Derry.

Maguire showed he was in very good form last week when he won the sprint for 4th place at the Noel Teggart Memorial in Co Down, edging out top sprinter John Buller (Banbridge CC) in the process.

And today when came to the line in a group in the C1 race at the Carn Wheelers promotion, he made no mistake; winning the sprint for victory by a very considerable margin.

Darnell Moore (Caldwell Powerhouse) was 2nd, with comeback man Ronan McLaughlin (Foyle CC) in 3rd, and clear in good shape after riding Rás Tailteann.

Daire Feeley (Burren CC) was 4th, with Odhran Doogan (Caldwell Powerhouse) in 5th and Gareth O'Neill (Athlete Nutrition Coach HD), from the nine-man group that contested the finish.
