Josh Callaly (Lucan CRC) and Aliyah Rafferty (Tofauti Everyone Active) were topped ranked Irish male and female in the season-end Cycling Ireland junior rankings, from a total of 270 riders.
Both riders enjoyed very strong seasons, which included international selection, with Rafferty also a junior again next year and Callaly progressing to the senior ranks, where he has already won races.
Callaly led the junior C1 rankings this year with a total of 95 points, with Cameron Henry (Inspired Cycling) 2nd on 85 points and Sam Coleman (AS Villemur) on 63 points, with Seth Dunwoody (Cannibal B Victorious) 4th on 48 points and Joseph Mullen (Zappi Racing Team) 6th on 46 points.
They were followed by: Michael Collins (Newcastle West Cycling Club), 42 points; Patrick O'Sullivan (Orwell Wheelers Cycling Club), 36; Conor Murphy (Team Caldwell Cycles), 33; Killian O'Brien (Veleka Team) 30; and Conor Prendergast (Van Mossel Heist Cycling Team) on16 points rounding out the top 10.

Callaly scored his points in 14 races across the season, including wins on stage 2 of the Newry Three Day, the Peter Bidwell Memorial and the Lucan GP. Henry, who finished just behind him in the rankings, took five wins this year; Annaclone GP, Carn Classic, PJ Logan Road Race, Bobby Crily Road Race and a stage of the Newry Three Day.
Aliyah Rafferty (Tofauti Everyone Active) was top-ranked female junior as she was 4th in the C2 rankings, on 28 points. She was followed by Aine Doherty (VC Glendale) on 18 points and Kate Murphy (Sliabh Luachra Cycling Club), who topped the C3 rankings on 12 points.

Third placed Coleman took two wins on home roads this season - stage 1 at Rás Mhaigh Eo and the Tour of Ards - though he spent much of his time racing in Europe. Only domestic results count in the Cycling Ireland rankings each year.
In the female junior rankings, Rafferty hoovered up points in all phases of the season, taking 5th overall at the Gorey Three Day and 3rd, 5th and 7th on three stages. She was also 2nd in the road race and TT at the National Road Championships and 2nd on a stage and in the overall at the Newry Three Day.
Second-placed in the rankings, Doherty took points in 13 races, including 2nd in the Seamus Kennedy Memorial and 3rd in both the National Criterium Championships and in the road race at the National Road Championships.
Third-placed Kate Murphy took points in eight races, including 3rd in the road race at the National Road Championships, 3rd in the Cotter Cup and 5th in the National Road Series fifth round, the Mullingar GP.
