Ben Healy (EF Education-EasyPost) has claimed the senior men's elite TT title at the National TT Championships in Co Tipperary to add to the U23 and junior Irish titles he already had in his palmares.
Over the 32.13km distance this evening, Healy put in a huge performance to beat his two closest rivals - George Peden and Eddie Dunbar - by over 1½ minutes.
While the women's title was won by just one second, the tight battle in the elite men's race was between 2nd and 3rd. Peden, a UK-based Irish amateur riding for Team PB Performance, was 1:32.56 down on Healy with Dunbar (Ineos Grenadiers) 1:32.61 off the gold medal winner.
It meant silver went to Peden, and bronze to Dunbar, after they were separated by just five one hundredths of a second.
More to come.
