Team Sky is shaking up its look for the Tour de France; putting aside its black jersey for a white one.
It may not seem like an earth shattering change but as with everything Team Sky it’s generating huge interesting.
And if you consider the squad has only made small incremental changes to its look since launch, this is actually a radical departure by its standards.
The UK WorldTour team is also giving fans the chance to be a little part of its summer of racing.
You could get your name among hundreds that will be printed into the jersey fabric.
You simply fill your details into this online form and then keep your fingers crossed and wait to hear back from them.
The names will be printed into the blue line on the back of the jerseys which will be worn by riders as they are introduced to the crowds at the Tour de France presentation in Dusseldorf on Thursday on June 29th.
Speaking at the launch of the new racing kit, which will be available to buy from Castelli from June 12th, Chris Froome said he was delighted with the new look.
He also believed putting the names of some fans onto the Tour presentation ceremony jersey was a great idea.
“The backing we get from Team Sky fans means so much to the riders, and it really makes a big difference to us wherever we are racing,” he said.
“Giving fans an opportunity to be right there with us as we kick off this year’s Tour de France is just a small way for us to say thank you for that support.”
