Daire Feeley (All human-VeloRevolution) has topped the Cycling Ireland A1 rankings again this year, with the Roscommon rider building a huge final points total. His results this year including a very impressive 12 road race wins.
This year's top domestic rider, Feeley scored points for a whopping 32 placings; some of them in the final GC in stage races but most for one-day race results.
His wins included: Rás Mhaigh Eo stage win and overall, Lucan GP, Boyne GP, Des Hanlon Memorial, stage of Rás Mumhan, Sean Stagg Shield, Rás Luimni, Mullingar GP, Brian McNamara Tuam Grand Prix, Maxi Maguire Memorial and round 8 of the Galway Summer League.
Feeley has now been the top-ranked A1 rider for the last five years, a remarkable achievement. This year the man who pushed him closest was Paul Kennedy, who won a Masters Grand Fondo TT world title this season during one of his stints competing abroad.

Kennedy took 10 wins at home this year, including the Crotty-Cotter Cup and the Donal Crowley Memorial as well as eight rounds of the Galway Summer League.
Feeley was best of a leading trio at the top of the rankings that were well ahead of the best of the rest, with the rankings winner on 243 points at the end of the road racing campaign.

Kennedy (Team Skyline) clocked up 220 points, higher than Feeley's winning total last year, with Gareth O'Neill (Athlete Nutrition Coach) hoovering up 185 points.
O'Neill claimed seven wins this year: Seamus Kennedy Memorial, Killinchy CC GP, Tour of Mournes, Sean Nolan Meath GP, Noel Teggart Memorial, Moynalty GP and Mountnugent GP.
One of the breakthrough men of the season, Liam Crowley (UCD Cycling Club) was 4th, on 147 points, with the impressive George Peden (Team PB Performance) in 5th, on 124 points.
Conn McDunphy, the Team Skyline rider who made his Worlds debut this season, was 6th in the rankings on 114 points, with Luke Smith (Moynalty CC) 7th, on 100 points, and Ruairi Byrne (UCD Cycling Club) 8th in the end of year rankings, on 97 points.
Rounding out the top 10 - in 9th and 10th places - were Odhran Doogan (Caldwell Cycles) on 96 points and John Buller (Banbridge CC) on 87 points.
