This cyclist and pedestrian collide when he cycles up the outside of a lane of traffic and she walks out from between two cars. Whose fault would you say this is?
A couple of weeks ago we brought you a clip of an incident in Dublin in which a cyclist riding up the outside of a lane of traffic was hit by a car driving out from a side road.
The mishap in the video is broadly similar, though this cyclist is hit by a pedestrian rather than a vehicle.
The clip is recorded by a motorcyclist driving in the traffic when the cyclist passes him as he rides down the outside of the slowly moving vehicles.
Lane splitting road markings then appear; to create a filter lane a little further up the road for vehicles to turn right.
However, it appears the cyclist is going straight and that he rides onto the road markings simply because the road is clear.
And when he reaches the turn right filter lane, a woman walks from between the cars on his left and they collide.
Thankfully they saw each other at the last moment and the crash was definitely on the lower end of the scale.
But who do you think was at fault?
Was the cyclist riding on a section of road he shouldn't have been in? Or did the woman walk out too carelessly? Maybe it's a bit of both?
Cyclist Vs pedestrian
