A really big win on home soil for An Post-Sean Kelly’s Vanbilsen

An Post-Sean Kelly rider Kenneth Vanbilsen has scored a massive victory by taking the U23 Tour of Flanders in his native Belgium yesterday, Saturday.

The 22-year-old finished 11 seconds ahead of a 50-man group sprinting for second. The race was the fourth round of the U23 Nations Cup and as such Vanbilsen was riding for the Belgian national team and not for An Post-Sean Kelly.

However, his victory is a great boost for the Irish-Belgian trade team and once again underlines its status as a breeding ground for real talent.
