Eddie Dunbar has won the Tour de Hongrie today with a great performance on the final climb to the summit finish at Gyöngyös-Kékestető. The Ineos Grenadiers rider attacked on the climb and got clear solo.
He was chased down by Antonio Tiberi (Trek-Segafredo) towards the top of the climb; the young Italian catching the Irish rider in the final 100 metres and taking the stage victory from him.
However, Dunbar took 2nd place on the day and that was enough for him to win the race outright as Tiberi had lost a lot of time earlier this week.
