Peter Sagan showing what it takes to be the kind of bike rider that he is; taking his winter core training to the extreme. His strength and flexibility suggest he works very indeed at both.
Video cyclist Peter Sagan winter core training
Peter Sagan has shared a winter core training video that will make you marvel and wince in equal measure.
The three-time world champion is clearly not kicking back even though he's not racing.
He's taking time to work on his core and is also incredibly flexible; a very useful method for recovering those leg muscles after hard racing or training.
A while back we showed you Sam Bennett doing the pigeon pose. And the exercise Sagan is doing here is the straddle splits.
It aids flexible and strength in the hips, inner thigh muscles and also strengthens the core and gluteus muscles. It even reaches the deep pelvic muscles.
