Video: Vincenzo Nibali shows descending skills on farm lanes in Italy

Posted on: November 18th, 2018

One of the best descenders in pro cycling, Vincenzo Nibali has taken to the dirt and gravel farm lanes of Italy to showcase his skills.

He may be one of the best climbers in the peloton on his day, but where Vincenzo Nibali has often impressed most is going down hills.

The Italian has put in daring descending attacks in the Grand Tours. And he has also left his rivals for dust plummeting off climbs in races like the Tour of Lombardy.

Currently enjoying the off-season at home in Italy, he’s been showcasing those descending skills off road.

In this clip Nibali took to a Merida cyclocross bike and put it through his paces down some farm dirt and gravel tracks.

We’re sure he’s quite at the level of cyclocross giants such as Wout Van Aert or Mathieu van der Poel. But he’s still pretty impressive nonetheless.
