The Mondello Series makes a welcome return tomorrow night - Tuesday, April 21st - promoted by Dublin Ravens and sponsored by headline backers Thorntons Recycling.
Stickybottle.com was one of the sponsors of the series last year, putting the cash into the pot for the primes on offer through the series of races. And we are delighted to be back again this year.
However, the most positive news for the host club is that Thornton's, which has a major presence in Ireland, is again backing the series. It is being run for the second time by Dublin Ravens Road Club, having been organised for years by Usher Irish Road Club.
The racing gets underway tomorrow from 7.30pm at Mondello Park, Co Kildare. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top six as well as prizes for the first unplaced C2 and C3 riders. The stickybotte primes will be on offer at 20 minutes and 40 minutes.
This year the series will be run over seven rounds and a new Perpetual Trophy will be awarded to the overall winner. Points will be awarded for each round and the rider who accumulates most points will win the trophy for series winner.

Paul Thornton, company director at Thornton's, said the firm's association with cycling was a longstanding one and he and his team were looking forward to the upcoming series.
"Thorntons Recycling's sponsorship further strengthens its long-standing support for Irish cycling," he said. "The company also sponsors the prestigious Waller Cup women's race, as well as Dunboyne Cycling Club, Mulhussey Wheelers CC, and several other grassroots cycling initiatives.
"We're delighted to continue our sponsorship of local cycling events and teams. Supporting the Mondello Series is another great opportunity for us to champion community involvement, encourage sustainable transport, and promote sport for all. We wish the organisers and riders a successful and safe series."
