Round 3, Mondello Series 2026

The week kicks off this evening with the latest round of the Mondello Series, being promoted by Dublin Ravens Road Club in Mondello Park, Co Kildare.

The racing gets underway tomorrow from 7.30pm. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top six as well as prizes for the first unplaced C2 and C3 riders.

The stickybotte primes will be on offer at 20 minutes and 40 minutes.

Wednesday, May 6th


Armagh Criterium

The race gets underway at 7pm on the Marlacoo Lake Circuit, promoted by Shelbourne-Orchard CC.

Riders will race for an hour plus three additional laps of the new circuit with primes after 20 and 40 minutes. The event is open to C2, C3 and junior riders and there are prizes for the top six.

Saturday, May 9th


Groucho’s Grand Prix

This race is being promoted, again, by Shelbourne Orchard CC, with race HQ, start and finish in the village of Richhill, Co Armagh, with the action kicking off at 12 noon.

The main event, for C2s – including women and juniors – will be 96km, with 1,150m of elevation gain. There is also a separate C3 race. There are prizes for the top six in each race and the first unplaced woman and unplaced junior.

Reddy A+U City Centre Crit

The criterium races are being run by Greenmount CA on a 950m circuit at Kings Island, Limerick City, with events through the day for all categories. The youth races incorporate the Munster Criterium Championships.

In the elite men’s race the winner will get €400 and Festina watch while the winner or the womens race will get €250 and a Festina watch. The schedule of races is as follows:

Shay Elliott and Ken Duff Memorial

Host club Bray Wheelers has billed this event as a warm-up for Rás Tailteann and there is no doubt the main event Shay Elliott Memorial is a bruising affair.

The start is at Laragh GAA Club, Co. Wicklow. The Shay Elliott C1 race is 124km - 1,614m of elevation gain over four laps, starting at 10am. The Ken Duff C2 event is 76km - 1,090m of elevation over two laps, starting at 10:05am.

The Racing neutralised until after Bookey Bridge at 1.km. There’s a sprint prime at 19km and the Long Mile KOM at 60km (R752 climb). The finish is at the top of the climb at Shay Elliott monument

The Shay Elliott route is available at this link. Prizes | 1st €500, 2nd €200, 3rd €100. Prize money to 12th place. Two primes cash prized including prime jersey.

The Ken Duff route is available at this link. Prizes | 1st €150, 2nd €90, 3rd €50. Prize money to 6th place. 1st and 2nd placed female and first junior.

Carlow Youth Races

Carlow Road Cycling Club is holding road races in Carlow this Sunday for U12, U14 and U16 riders, with primes also on offer during the events. The U12 race starts at 10am, the U14 at 10:30am and the U16 event at 11.30am.

Savills Orwell Monday Night Racing Series, Round 4

Host club Orwell Wheelers said this series is open to children from as young as 6-years-old, offering the chance to enjoy racing in the safe, traffic‑free confines of the purpose‑built Corkagh Park track in Clondalkin.

Each age group competes in a three‑race format every night: Time Trial, elimination race and scratch race.
