The Gorey Three Day will once again be back on our roads in just a few weeks, and you can enter right here. There are four action-packed stages for what is shaping up to be a great race over the Easter Bank Holiday Weekend.
The event was cancelled last year after numbers were so low the finances simply did not add up. While nobody would ever seek to profit from the race, a set amount of money must be raised from entry fees towards paying the costs, which can be quite significant.
It would be a huge shame to let this event slip away. But we're confident Irish road racing cyclists won't let that happen. However, there is no doubt this race needs you, and it needs you now.
If you are even thinking of riding the event this year, don't hesitate to get you entry in and your fee paid in the next 24-48 hours. If everyone waits until the last minute, there won't be a last minute.
Stage race organisers really need a flow of early entries. They need to know the funds will be in place to help meet the outgoings involved in organising a stage race. The organisers simply cannot wait until a week or two before the event for the entries to flood in. They need those entries immediately.
Se please act now. If you are planning to ride the Gorey Three Day 2026, enter by following this link and do it immediately.
The riders will take in a total of 276km over the four stages, the longest of which is the 100km final stage on Easter Monday, mostly run on the Eddie Tobin circuit but finishing just outside Craanford.
The stages are as follows:
- Sage 1, Saturday, April 4th | Craanford–Camolin–Gorey–Carnew Loop (99.8km). Start starts at 2pm and features four laps of the circuit, some 900m of elevation gain, with the finish on the Carnew KOH point
- Stage 2, Sunday, April 5th | Individual Time Trial (5.7km) on Old N11, first rider off at 9:01am, with 42m of elevation gain and a finish just outside Gorey
- Stage 3, Sunday, April 5th | Camolin Road Race (70.7km) | Roll-out 2pm for four laps of a circuit finishing in Camolin
- Stage 4, Monday, April 6th | Craanford Road Race (100km) | Eddie Tobin Circuit with roll-out at 10am, with the field racing off the circuit after the laps and back in the direction of Gorey, to finish just outside Craanford
The event is open to all juniors, C2s, C3s and all in the Masters categories - 40s, 50s and 60s - including C1 Masters. A women's race - three stages over two days - is also being run this year.
“The Gorey has always been about opportunity – for young riders to test themselves, for experienced riders to measure themselves, and for clubs to race a true stage race,” said the organisers.
“By opening the door to C2, C3, juniors and masters we’re protecting that spirit and making sure we see a full, competitive field on the roads again at Easter 2026.”
