One year has just passed and a new one begun and that mean's the new road racing season is now coming into view on the horizon. As is traditional, lots professional cyclists have been showing off their new team kits, including many of the big name Irish riders.
Some are staying with the same teams for 2026, though are still sporting new-look kits, while others have moved to new squads and are turned out in the colours of their new employers for the first time.
Lara Gillespie, the only Irish rider ever to win a European and world title, is sporting a slightly new look in her UAE Team ADQ kit for 2026, with the Irish tricolour on her sleeves signifying her status as former senior national road race champion.
Pissei, who create the kit of the 24-year-old's kit, has been busy keeping up with Gillespie as she has needed world champion's and European champion's kit having won those titles - both in the elimination race - in 2025, photos below.
Showing off a new look, for his new team, Ryan Mullen is now with NSN Cycling Team rider, a Swiss-registered, Spanish-backed outfit, that has taken Israel Premier Tech's team in the World Tour. Mullen is a 10-time Irish senior road champion - seven in the TT and three in the road race - and is going into his 11th season as a World Tour rider.
He joins NSN Cycling Ireland after four seasons at WorldTour rivals Red Bull-Bora-hansgrohe. His lead-out muscle will be called upon through the coming campaign as his new employer's have signed three-time Tour de France sprint stage winner Biniam Girmay.
Others sporting the (slightly) new looks for 2026 of the teams they rode for last year include Liam O'Brien (Lidl Trek Future Racing), Jamie Meehan (Cofidis) and Marine Lenehan (Lidl Trek). We'll bring you more photos when we have them.
