Irish pro rider Rory Townsend on the cheapest new road racing bike money can buy Vs Ollie Bridgewood on a Pinarello Dogma F

Irish pro rider Rory Townsend is well able to mix it with the big guns in the European pro peloton. But for his latest challenge, Global Cycling Network has set him a unique task; putting to the test the cheapest new racing bike available on Amazon.

The WiV SunGod rider teamed up with regular GCN presenter Ollie Bridgewood to test out how a very strong rider on a shit bike fared against, well, a shit rider on a very good bike.

Townsend (26) got the bad bike - a €350, or £300, Eurobike which GCN said was the cheapest new racing bike it could find for sale on Amazon. Bridgewood was on the new Pinarello Dogma F, pimped out with TT wheels.

They took to one of Townend's training routes and timed themselves riding flat-out on a 12 to 14 minute climb where he holds the Strava KOM. The Eurobike slows Townsend very considerably on the climb while Bridgewood, on the Pinarello Dogma F, gives the pro rider a fright with his effort.
