Last year's Paris-Roubaix was the first year a women's edition was held and when the rain came down, resulting in muddy conditions, the riders endured very challenging conditions.
However, Lizzie Deignan (Trek-Segafredo) took an aggressive and adventurous approach when she went for a long range attack and rode to a brilliant victory. She finished on the iconic Roubaix velodrome over a minute clear of her closest challenger, Marianne Vos (Jumbo Visma).
