A winner of many Irish road races in his day, Conor McCann has been working behind the scenes in pro cycling of late and has now secured a new position with World Tour team Bahrain Victorious.
McCann, a 26-year-old from Bellaghy, Co Derry, has continued to race on the Irish road scene in recent years but has combined that with some stints working for UCI Continental team Trinity Racing.
He has also had the experience of working on the Giro d'Italia for Velon for the past two years as well as traveling around the world with Trinity Racing.

McCann has now secured a position working as a soigneur with Bahrain Victorious, which will see him supporting some of the best riders in the world at many of the biggest pro events in the sport.
He has just completed his first training camp with the team in Altea, Spain, to whet his appetite for the coming year, ahead of what sounds like an exciting opportunity.
McCann competed on the national team as a junior rider and also as an U23 rider. He was 2nd in the junior road race, behind Jake Gray, at the National Road Championships in 2016.
The following year he rode for VZW WP de Molenspurters Meulebeke in Belgium and in recent seasons has competed at home for Inspired Cycling.
We'll have more on McCann and his new job shortly.
