Fiona Mangan is aiming to wear the Irish champion's jersey into the big spring classics next year after securing a contract with a new team that will have access to bigger races.

The Limerick woman only rode her first UCI race in Europe in 2021 and after that Vuelta CV Feminas (1.1) start in April that year she had to wait until 2022 to get her second race under her belt.

However, she now goes into racing against the biggest teams in the world early next season, with French team Winspace, and says she was looking forward to riding "the races I’ve always wanted to do".

"When the team reached out, I immediately sensed the team’s enthusiasm and sense of commitment to their shared goals. With big ambitions for next year, I’m motivated to contribute to these goals.
