Eddie Dunbar is preparing to start his first season with his new employers, Team Jayco Alula, and the team has now released these first images of the Irishman in the new kit for the year ahead.
Dunbar is embarking on a three-season tenure with the Australian outfit. He has been taking in a training camp in Calpe, Spain, as he prepares for the first races of 2023, building up towards leading the squad at the Giro d'Italia in May.

The main focus for Dunbar at present is the Giro, which starts in Fossacesia on the east coast of Italy on May 6th. The first part of the 2023 season will be comprised of stage races aimed at helping him build condition towards the Giro.
He will kick off that preparation at the five-day Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana, which starts on February 1st. That will be followed by UAE Tour, which involves seven stages and starts on February 20th. Then follows the traditional Giro warm-up event, Tirreno-Adriatico, from March 6th to 12th. The final race before the Giro for Dunbar will be the six-stage Itzulia Basque Country (2.UWT), which starts on April 3rd.
His team team, which raced as BikeExchange-Jayco is owned by Australian businessman Jerry Ryan and has been sponsored down the years by his many business interests. However, it has brought in Alula - a tourism destination in Saudi Arabia - as co-sponsor, which means a completely new look for the coming campaign.
