
Cillian Kelly is a well-known cycling blogger, number-cruncher and stats man turned Global Cycling Network staffer. And now the Irishman is taking the biggest step in his cycling career - preparing for and (we hope) conquering a stage of the Tour de France.
The cruel Tsars in GCN have decided to make a film on Kelly as he attempts to go from 'couch to Étape du Tour'. He's currently training for the event, which will see him take on Étape du Tour on July 10th.
It will take the riders on the same route as stage 12 of the Tour de France between Briançon and Alpe d'Huez. It's just over 170km with more than 4,700m of climbing, including the Col du Galibier, Col de la Croix de Fer and Alpe d’Huez.
