When all of the World Tour results for 2015 are examined to see what the winners were riding, the brands that carried their men to victory most often might surprise you.
Here's a useful short video counting down from 10 to No 1 those bikes that carried the top pro riders in the world to victory most often in 2015.
When all the victories from the World Tour - one-day wins, stage victories and outright stage race wins - are studied, three major brands appear in the top 10 twice.
They are, perhaps unsurprisingly, Specialized, Canyon and BMC.
Riders like Alexander Kristoff of Katusha - riding a Canyon Ultimate CF SLX - and Andre Greipel of Lotto Soudal - racing on a Ridley Noah SL - were very prolific this season.
And the success rates of one or two riders like that and racing on the same bike would push a brand into the top 10 and indeed significantly high up that list.
But the comparison is still an interesting one to make.
We've never seen big wins broken down on a ‘per-bike brand’ basis before and we thought it was a very useful exercise.
