Ineos Grenadiers has named its eight-rider team for the upcoming Tour de France, with Geraint Thomas and Richard Carapaz the obvious leadership figures and Richie Porte also in the mix.
Aside from leadership candidates - though the team has not named leaders in its announcement today - the team is also comprised of Jonathan Castroviejo, Tao Geoghegan Hart, Michal Kwiatkowski, Luke Rowe and Dylan van Baarle.
While Eddie Dunbar is not named in the team, he was not expected to be. And it is hoped the Irishman, who rode so well at Tour de Suisse this month, will get his chance later in the year at La Vuelta.

Ineos Grenadiers team principal, Dave Brailsford, has pledged his team will not “sit in the wheels” during the Tour de France, which starts tomorrow week.
He said the Ineos Grenadiers riders would “take the initiative, seize every opportunity and make our opposition focus for every kilometre of every stage”.
“We have changed our race philosophy this season to being more open and aggressive. Our performances have built all season and a joy of racing has infused the whole team,” Brailsford added.
“This more adventurous approach has led us to fearless racing and this is exactly how we will hit the Tour.
"We will seek out every moment in every stage where the race is on and try to exploit it. Key for us this Tour is our collective strength and camaraderie to the end.”
