
Most riders hate climbing, especially short sharp hills. But there are some simple ways you can improve.
They are the curse of all but very few cyclists; those short climbs that occur on most routes.
In a sportive or race if you lose touch on one of these, chances are you will never see the group again.
But if you can get over them, your performance really can be turned on its head.
For everyone apart from the talented or the very fit; short steep climbs are going to put us into the red.
And on a bad day or during a rough patch, they’ll put us out the back.
