Using a foam roller is a great way to relax muscles and accelerate recovery after a training effort.

In this short video, Garmin-Sharp team chiropractor Matt Rabin and Irish 2014 Tour of Lombardy winner Dan Martin take us through the techniques for best using a foam roller.

The widely available devices are great if you can't afford, or don't have access to, regular massages.

A foam rolling routine will help to ease knots in your muscles, gradually increasing flexibility and helping you to recover better.

In this clip Dan and Matt show us a routine that focuses on your legs and should take around 20 minutes.
