Pros that racked up most KMs on Strava in 2022 | Top 30 riders

It was a big year in pro cycling and an especially big season for some riders who make up the peloton, including those who race and train more than their rivals and post most of their rides on Strava. In the end of year list for most kilometres posted on the activities app, Lukasz Owsian of Team Arkéa Samsic comes out on top, with 40,401km ridden and posted, during which he climbed 437,379mts.

Irish rider Megan Armitage, who has signed from the Team Arkéa women's squad, makes it into the 700+ riders reviewed, with 30,497km ridden and posted and 373,891mts of elevation gain during those rides. She's one of three Irish riders on the list, below.

Next after Owsian in the list is world champion Remco Evenepoel in 2nd place. The Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl rider posted 35,870.7km on Strava and covered 504,464mts of elevation gain during those rides. He is followed by Vuelta stage winner Thymen Arensman (Team DSM) with 35,794.0km and 421,608mts of elevation gain.

The list has been compiled by VeloFacts and obviously only includes rides posted on public Strava accounts. There is one female rider in the top 30; world champion Annemiek van Vleuten of Movistar in 29th place with 32,151.5km and 451,792mts of elevation gain.

As well Armitage, Ryan Mullen (Bora-hansgrohe) and Stephen Clancy (Novo Nordisk) are the other Irish riders ranked. Clancy posted 23,654.3km and Mullen posted 11,917.8km.
