21 pro riders doing biggest training rides on Strava since Christmas

Egan Bernal is on top for the number of kilometres he has posted on Strava since Christmas and for the average number of kilometres he has done per ride. Richie Porte has also been getting the miles in, though during shorter and more frequent rides

High intensity interval training may have been all the rage in recent years but most of the pro cyclists in the biggest teams still do a lot of big miles.

Geraint Thomas of Team Ineos, for example, has shared data in recent weeks showing single training rides - in Mallorca - of over 300km.

When it comes to the pro cyclists who have posted most kilometres to Strava since Christmas, current Tour de France champion, and Thomas's team mate, Egan Bernal is on top.

The 23-year-old Colombian just yesterday posted data for a ride that was 269.4km long. Since Christmas he has shared 16 riders on Strava making up a total of 2,638km.
