One of Ireland's top pros shares his recovery drink recipe

It’s little things like the dedication to make your own homemade recovery drink that has earned Matt Brammeier a place on the MTN-Quebeka Pro-Continental cycling team this year. the four-time national champion's latest creation, the ‘recobowl’, is pretty tempting, we think you’ll agree.

While he’s hopefully many years away from retirement yet, we’ve a sneaking suspicion Matt Brammeier could do very well for himself in a career far away from the professional peloton when he eventually hangs up his wheels.

Anyone who follows him on instagram will know he’s a good man to throw a decent bit of grub together.

But his latest concoction is something we believe is his greatest work yet.

He’s given it the name ‘recobowl’ and while it looks like something from an Indian restaurant, it’s far from it.

It’s a drink designed to help him recover and refuel properly after training and racing. And it looks absolutely awesome.

*One thing we also noted from Matt’s insta account is his other half (sort of) laying claim to this beaut, his British wife-to-be Nikki Harris sarcastically commenting, “I wonder who came up with this great idea?”

Guys, whichever one of ye did it, well done.
