Mathieu van der Poel's Alpecin-Fenix team has shared the Dutch rider's data for Strade Bianche on Saturday, including his final winning sprint/attack up Via Santa Caterina.

The Dutch rider was in the all-star breakaway that he whittled down to just three - with Egan Bernal and Julian Alaphilippe - when he attacked on the final gravel sector of the race.

Tom Pidcock (Ineos Grenadiers), Wout van Aert (Jumbo Visma) and Tadej Pogačar (UAE-Team Emirates) were just three of the riders that Van der Poel left for dust.

Once he had split the breakaway on the final section of gravel, Van der Poel then rode with Bernal (Ineos Grenadiers) and Alpahilippe (Deceuninck-QuickStep) until the final kilometre.

And once inside the last kilometre he attacked from the front on steep ramp of Via Santa Caterina; not looking back even once and riding away to such an impressive victory in the 184km race into Siena.
