Anthony Doyle takes strong Mondello Series win

Leaving some of the best riders in the country in his wake, Anthony Doyle has won the latest round of the Mondello Series 2018 in Co Kildare.

The veteran Strata 3-VeloRevolution rider arrived the finish line with U23 international Dermot Trulock for company.

And though more than two decades Trulock’s senior, Doyle got the better of the Lucan CRC man at the chequered flag.

Just a couple of seconds behind them came Rás Tailteann stage winner Sean McKenna of Holdsworth Pro Cycling.

And after him came former national criterium champion Mark Dowling (Unattached).

Sean Feeney (South Dublin CC) and Murt Rice (Sundrive Track Team) rounded out the placings in 5th and 6th.

Doyle and Trulock broke clear of the field and built a commanding lead over the group of leading riders they left behind.
