Having taken his first elite victory just last weekend, Adam McGarr made it two in a row today. The man came through the mud at Kilruddery Demesne in Co Wicklow to win the men’s race.

Last weekend he was best in Russborough House, Co Wicklow, in the final round of cyclocross’s Supercross Cup.

On that occasion he saw off world masters MTB champion and multiple elite off-road champion Robin Seymour of Team WORC.

But today it was the turn of Seymour’s team mate Gavin O’Connell to take the runner-up prize; the latest in a number of strong results for him.

And another of the Team WORC riders came in 3rd; Niall Sommers the man completing the podium on what was a very mucky day for racing.

The women’s event at the Bray Wheelers promotion was won by a flying Maeve O’Grady (Unattached).

She once again showed the class that has carried her to the National Cyclocross Championships podium in the past.

She scored her last victory last month at the Dodder Valley cyclocross promotion and has clearly held her form.

Today she prevailed out front on her own ahead of Asia Bula of Scott-Eurocycles and Niamh Stephens of TC Racing.
