Kevin Keane takes cyclocross win in Clonmel

Having taken victory in the Fota Crossbarrs event in Cork last weekend, Kevin Keane has done it again today in the Munster Cyclocross Series.

The Corkman was too strong for the opposition in Co Tipperary; storming to victory on a breezy day in Clonmel.

At the end of the third round Keane was once again out on his own; as he had been in Cork in the mud last weekend.

He won on Clonmel Racecourse today from Conor Kissane (Killarney CC). Kissane got the better of Tim O’Regan (Aqua Blue Academy) after a race-long tussle.

Their finishing order was a reversal of last weekend in Cork.

Lisa Stapelbroek of Kenmare CC took the women’s race and extends her lead in the women’s series.

More to follow.
