Yoann Offredo shows off his brutal injuries after another bad race crash.

One of the most crash-prone riders in the professional ranks, Yoann Offredo has taken to social media to assure people he is OK by showing off these injuries.

The French rider came down very hard on today’s second stage of the Four Days of Dunkirk.

Unsurprisingly the Wanty-Gobert rider failed to the finish the stage. It was won in a bunch sprint into Saint-Quentin by Dylan Groenewegen (Jumbo-Visma).

Offredo’s team said he had not broken any bones but required stitching; the blood coming from these wounds clearly showing he needed to be patched up.

Offredo is something of a controversial character and he was only returning to race after problems in the opening weeks of the campaign.

He suffered from a virus at the start of the year which caused severe fatigue. After missing a long period of racing he then crashed at Grand Prix de Denain in France.

On that occasion he was airlifted from the crash site after being knocked out during the crash on a cobbled sector.

Two years ago he posted photos of himself bloodied on social media claiming a driver attacked him while he was training.

However, when the matter went to court the outcome of the case was not exactly in line with Offredo’s version of accounts.
