Video: Trailer for new "full truth" Lance Armstrong documentary

Lance Armstrong is perhaps the most notorious figure in the history of professional cycling. However, though he is banned from the sport for life, he remains a part of it

Lance Armstrong's career and fall from grace is set to form the basis of a new ESPN '30 For 30' documentary. The trailer for the piece has been released and is available to view below.

Armstrong took Tour de France yellow into Paris seven times in his career but has been stripped of those wins after being convicted of doping for almost all of his career.

He is also banned from cycling for life, including competing in events and from other roles in the sport.

However, his pariah status in the eyes of many has softened a little in recent years, thanks mainly to his podcasts about cycling, including an extended daily show during the Tour de France.

He remains part of the sport through that podcast, 'The Move', with many of today's pro riders sending him messages to be read out on the show.

Armstrong usually appears on air with his former team mate George Hincapie, also a convicted doper, and his former manager Johan Bruyneel.

Like Armstrong, Bruyneel was banned from involvement in cycling due to his role in the doping programme in the US Postal Team.

In the new trailer for the Lance Armstrong ESPN documentary, the fallen Texan says: "I'm not going to lie to you. I'm going to tell you my truth."

That, of course, may be the truth or it may be a lie. The documentary is due to air on May 24th.
