Ryan Mullen has shared his Strava file from the Tour of Flanders on Sunday. The 23-year-old was competing in the fifth monument of his career.

He was to the fore as the race entered the business end; helping to shelter his team’s protected riders.

His Trek-Segafredo team mate Mads Pedersen went on to take the runner-up spot, behind winner Niki Terpstra (QuickStep).

Mullen could be seen at the front of the peloton, staying close to his team mates, for long periods during the race.

And as the race-winning team hit the front in pursuit of the breakaway, Mullen dug in and held his place.

That ensured Pedersen, Jasper Stuyven and John Degenkolb were assisted in staying safe with minimum effort.

Having done his work for the team in the first 200km of the race, Ryan Mullen then focused on finishing the Tour of Flanders.

He did so in 93rd place, one of just 104 finishers and in a large group 14 minutes down. He has now finished all five monuments he has ridden.

The Irish road and TT champion has completed both the Tour of Flanders and Paris Roubaix twice and also Milan Sanremo once.

He will ride Paris-Roubaix for the third time next weekend. He has also continued his approach to transparency in sharing his Tour of Flanders Strava file.

Many of the main stats – for 169 miles in 6hrs 50mins – are below. Furthermore, you can find his full file by following this link.
